Being a Baptist traditionally meant being for chruch/state separation, but recently I do not think church members have been taught it's importance. In fact I would say that we haven't been taught anyting about it. How are people to know what it even means if it isn't taught? Here is a very interesting link to Al Mohler's blog, he mentions what can happen when the state steps into the church.
